Why Do You Love Me?

Is there ever a 'right time' to meet the person you will fall in love with.

"Why Do You Love Me?"

Written by Tom Heald.

The play is set in the bedroom of a couple who are getting ready for a surprise birthday party.

But when Alex and Sam begin to play devils advocate, on their own relationship, we soon discover there's a whole new complexity to them and their relationship.

Would meeting at a different point in time or under different circumstances, change the connection between them?

Meet The Cast...

Lewis Breakwell

As 'Sam'

I’m Lewis Breakwell and I’m currently finishing my 3rd year of training at Bird College. I’ve always had a passion for acting and theatre from a young age and constantly had a gut feeling that this is what I’m supposed to do. I’ve had the best experience finding the character of Sam, a hilarious and complex character that I’m so grateful to portray and cannot thank Not So Nice Theatre enough for the opportunity.

David Burke

As 'Alex'

David has performed on stage from an early age in various musicals and plays, ranging from Andrew Lloyd Webber to Alan Bennett.

David is very excited to be working with the NSNTC on this audio play and can’t wait for the opportunity to bring it to the stage.

Working on "Why Do You Love Me?" has been a privilege and a challenge but most of all it has been an absolute joy.

We have worked on this Radio Play over the past five months spending every spare moment excitedly discussing our plans and ideas. We were extremely fortunate to be working alongside such an inspiring cast and team which ultimately allowed us to really delve into this passionate and human love story more than we could have ever imagined.

Creating Not So Nice! has been a dream of ours for nearly four years, it is truly remarkable witnessing our hard work come to fruition.

Thank you for being a part of our journey and for all of your support. Now close your eyes and open your hearts as we enter the mesmerising world of "Why Do You Love Me?".

Meet the

Playwright

My name is Tom and I have been an actor and performer for a really long time!

"Why Do You Love Me?" is my first script and I am really grateful to Not So Nice for this opportunity! I have been working on this script for many years.

The inspiration came from a conversation I had with my now fiance. We discovered that before we got together there were many opportunities where we could have met. We discussed if we would have still gotten together if we had met at these times. That idea of there being a right time to meet someone interested me.

I've been living with Sam and Alex in my brain for a very long time, so I'm very happy more people will now have the opportunity to meet them!
